Stake Loses $80M to Trainwreck, Money Stays in the Family
The house filed its own eight-figure payout to a sister company's co-founder as a jackpot and wants a parade.
Stake has announced the greatest financial event in its own ecosystem's history: Trainwreck, co-founder of sister company Kick, went back-to-back for "over $80M in just a couple of minutes" on Cursed 100K. The house called him the GOAT and hit send on the clip.
Credit where it is due: Trainwreck turned a couple of button presses into generational money, and that is genuinely impressive. At roughly forty million dollars a minute, it is also a gross national product. Enjoy the burrito, champ.
Now clock the machinery. Cursed 100K is a Stake Original built by Colorful Play, a studio that exists exclusively inside Stake's walls. Trainwreck co-founded Kick, Stake's sister company. The house did not lose eight figures to a stranger. It moved money between rooms and asked for a standing ovation.
This was filed as a payout. What it actually is, is the marketing budget doing a victory lap and billing the round trip as a jackpot.
